So what are some of the products I will be talking about in this article?
Well, I had the pleasure of trying their Beauty Box which included: Ms. Know It All: Whipped Hair & Body Moisturizing Butter, Purity, O.M.G. Seal & Moisturizing Oil, and But First, Coffee: Exfoliating Coffee Scrub. All of these items worked great for my skin and hair!
Ms. Know It All left my ends feeling smooth and hydrated since it has Shea Butter and other healthy oils in it as well that help defeat frizz and dryness. This butter also works well as a daily moisturizer because it doesn't leave your hair feeling heavy or too oily, instead, it brings dry hair to life!
The O.M.G. Seal & Moisturizing oil is an absolute MUST for natural hair (and did I mention for dry skin too)! This oil is multifunctional and super moisturizing which helps promote hair growth, soothes itchy scalp, defeats dandruff, stimulates blood circulation, and increases shine! This oil also works great as a daily oil especially for thicker hair textures because the thicker the hair texture, the more moisture and hydration you'll need and this is perfect!
Heritage 1933 has this amazing clay mask that works wonders for skin and hair. Purity is a great detoxifying mask because it has Bentonite Clay! This hair and skin mask shrinks pores, removes product buildup, the mask has anti-inflammatory properties and it's a natural multi-vitamin as well.
Last, but not least the But First, Coffee: Exfoliating Coffee Scrub is currently my best friend. This mask helps exfoliate and remove dead and dry skin which is great because who wants dry skin in the summertime? Not I! Since this scrub has coffee in it, this scrub works great to reduce the appearance of cellulite, stretch marks, psoriasis, and eczema (friendly reminder: you are beautiful either way)!
How Do I Use These Curly Hair Products?
I use the O.M.G. and Ms. Know It All on my 3b/ 3c curly hair daily to keep it moisturized and healthy. If I'm styling my hair after I have washed my hair, I'll apply a leave-in conditioner then apply a dime-sized amount of Ms. Know It All to the ends of my hair because my ends tend to get pretty frizzy. After I'm done applying the butter, I'll then apply the O.M.G. oil to the ends and a little to my roots because my scalp can get dry from time to time, plus this oil seals in the moisture from the other products so I don't have to worry about my hair feeling or looking dry!
If I'm using the Purity Clay Mask as a face mask, I usually use it 2-3 times a month to help remove blackheads and clogged pores, but when I use this mask as a clarifying hair mask, I usually use it once a month. If you over clarify your hair too much it will dry out your hair because it can strip away all the natural oils, but this mask does an amazing job and leaves amazing results like smooth and shiny hair (plus your scalp will feel fresh and clean)!
Like I mentioned before, the But First, Coffee scrub is my best friend especially since it's summertime. I use this scrub once a week and leave it on for about 5 minutes before rinsing it off with cold water. This scrub helps me start off my week feeling fresh and clean. Who wouldn't want to start their week like that?
